Copper-Phosphorus Brazing Alloy
Copper and phosphorus are the two major elements in the copper-phosphorus brazing alloys The alloys have good fluidity, low melting temperature and the trait of self-fluxing.
They are used in the brazing of copper and copper alloys in resistance brazing, flame brazing and induction brazing without the use of flux. As phosphorus is likely to cause the formation of brittlement in iron, the brazing alloys are rarely used in the brazing of ferrous metals.
